In Year 2 children study their locality including a visit to the Boat Museum in Ellesmere Port. They read "The owl who was afraid of the dark" and  learn about owls. Another  very popular topic is castles with a visit to Beeston Castle usually in January. The highlight of the year is a one night residential visit to Burwardsley Outdoor Education Centre.
